TWO OF MY STORIES BEING READ AT DECEMBER EVENTS

A nice update. Two of my stories are being read at seasonal events this December. The readings are at JKA Caledon Dec 6 and Melissa Shriner's 3rd "Jordan Station" Annual Christmas Concert of her singing with a few sidekicks in tow...  on December 21. Others will actually be reading these stories. I read the one they are reading at Melissa's concert the last two years. It is called HIlda & Hemingway in "Oh Oh Henry!". The crowd loves it and want it again and again. So... I have assigned non-exclusive rights to Melissa to have it read at her annual concert in perpetuity. The drive to do the reading myself this year does not work for me, although I love Melissa and the loving energy of that event and its audience. You can read "Oh Oh Henry!"  at my website link below. The second story is a new one. This is a Christmas story I wrote called Dojo Boy. I wrote it specifically to read or have read at this year's JKA Caledon Christmas dinner... mainly for the kids, but it as a universal all-age slant. Having read for them at the last two JKA Caledon Christmas  functions, they want "me" to do that again too. I will be away this year. So, Tammy, who is a dear friend there and black belt will read it on my behalf. An honor. I am assigning non-exclusive rights to have this story read at their annual Christmas functions as well as TNT School of Martial Arts, here in Alliston, where I began my Shotokan Karate journey at age 58, six years ago.

Fun eh! My bio for 2nd Annual Christmas in the Village Concert on December 22, 2012.
"Frank continues to write. 2012 saw him establish a new web site www.frankwestcottpoet.com . Enjoy it ! Last April, his story Doin' it Right was longlisted for the Gloria Vanderbilt/Exile short fiction award. This was the award he won in 2011 for his story The Poet. Oh! Frank got new license plates. They say FW POET . He continues with karate, yoga and fun with his grandkids. Professionally this past year, his greatest joys have been reading some new and old work in public. One of his favourite new stories is called Double Thirty-second Notes. Maybe one day he will learn to sing !"
