ANOTHER CONVERSATION with the GURU about THE MEANING of LIFE ~ "LIFE IS AN OHMlette!"

Spoke with the Guru. Asked, "What is the meaning of life?"~ Guru said, "There isn't one?" ~ "What do you mean?" I said. ~ "It's that half-empty-half full-cup-thing," the Guru said. ~ "Or somewhere in between," I said. ~ "Or somewhere in between," the Guru said. "it just is." ~ "It just is," I said. ~ "Now you're getting it," the Guru said. ~ "Am I half full or half-empty?" I asked. ~ "Somewhere in between," the Guru said, chuckling, burped and said."You haven't eaten yet today.But I have," he burped somewhere in between syllables " ~ "Can't you be more precise?" I asked, trying to avoid his burp-smell and digest his thoughts at the same time, being somewhere in between, trying to get his thinking or whatever it was he was doing while guru-ing, burping in between this, his guru thing. ~ Guru said, "Half-empty half-full... Depends which end you're looking at it from. Whether you're emptying or fulling, I mean filling. Or neither. Or remaining the same like somewhere in between." He burped big. I ducked. Smelled omlette.I mean OHMlette. ~ Didn't want to get egg on my face so I said. "It just is.." ~ And the Guru smiled, rubbed his tummy, "Like a good OHMlette," he said. Then he got precisely precise for once and said "Precisely." ~ I wiped my lip. Cheek. And... ~ "Egg on your face," the Guru said. ~ "Somewhere in between," I said, and shuffled away to the sound of eggs beating in a bowl of cherries with their pits still intact, and the bowl wondering if it was half full, half empty or somewhere in between.~ "Well, that beats all," the Guru muttered unplugging his mixer, then cheered up saying. "OHMlette anyone ?" |
